How To Build Roller Blades

IMAGES FESTIVAL 2008

Also this year saw the conclusion of celebrations for the patron saint of Bivona, S. Rosalia. The most important day for the faithful was Sept. 4, when 18.30 was released Vara. The morning after the Mass, the Vara has been removed the niche of the main altar and placed in the middle of the aisle. Then in the early afternoon was decorated with anthurium of Bivona and the statue of her dowry provided the "jewels of silver, the cross and the palm in his right hand, necklace, earrings. The procession, which lasted about three and a half hours has run the traditional route to the top of the country (via Lorenzo Panepinto and Montemaggiore way) to get to Piazza S. Paul, S. Piazza John (but this year with a small deviation from Via Roma and Via Picone), the Batia (the district of St. Clare), Via Roma and Piazza Marconi. Here at 22.00 the closing Mass was celebrated with great participation of the people. At about 23.00 the Vara was accompanied by many faithful to his "home" before being placed in his "room" where it will rest for a whole year. Great credit goes to the carriers that have demonstrated coordination and have thus ensured the safety of the work, avoiding any cracks in the most delicate parts.

express great concern at the conditions of fercolo species in the lower part of the base near the poles, due to the many rifts, and manifest deep disappointment at the way in which the Vara was held during the year (it is never clean, there are nails and wire yarn, wood is completely covered by layers of dust, silver bells are blacks). The fercolo needs urgent repairs and routine work. Many people in the Church have noticed this, complain, condemn, judge but by the end of the party and forget the Vara S. Rosalia. Every year they say the same party: the "Vara should not go out ... is broken, too bad ... but the people want to see the procession in Vara happens if no revolution ... take one more small Vara ...", but no forward an effective proposal and the curtain falls.
