Also this year saw the conclusion of celebrations for the patron saint of Bivona, S. Rosalia. The most important day for the faithful was Sept. 4, when 18.30 was released Vara. The morning after the Mass, the Vara has been removed the niche of the main altar and placed in the middle of the aisle. Then in the early afternoon was decorated with anthurium of Bivona and the statue of her dowry provided the "jewels of silver, the cross and the palm in his right hand, necklace, earrings. The procession, which lasted about three and a half hours has run the traditional route to the top of the country (via Lorenzo Panepinto and Montemaggiore way) to get to Piazza S. Paul, S. Piazza John (but this year with a small deviation from Via Roma and Via Picone), the Batia (the district of St. Clare), Via Roma and Piazza Marconi. Here at 22.00 the closing Mass was celebrated with great participation of the people. At about 23.00 the Vara was accompanied by many faithful to his "home" before being placed in his "room" where it will rest for a whole year.
